Bring Out the Best in Your Team

In the New Year, wouldn’t it be great to help your teams perform highly?  Some teams perform well and some perform poorly. However, an enlightening article from 2014 shares the formula for team success, but you must apply the secret step early on in the team’s formation. The finding is in sync with the Aristotle team project at Google that I wrote about in a past blog (link to it if you can find it). The answer is to achieve inclusion to a degree that most team leaders don’t pursue. Ask each team member early on to share what skills and knowledge they already have that might help the team achieve the specific group goal or goals. This transforms power in groups from those who yield social influence to those who utilize information and skills.

I think you will find this interesting and something you may do in 2017.
